Sikeston Shop With A Hero Program

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety is partnering with Sikeston Public Schools for the 6th annual Shop with a Hero program. According to DPS, in 2023 they were able to take more than 130 students shopping for Christmas gifts matching each student with a local first responder from the Scott County area.

The Cape Girardeau Fire Department was called to the scene of a house fire Saturday afternoon at 1202 S Ellis Rear. When crews arrived on the scene the one-story home had heavy smoke and flames.
