Main Street will be temporarily closed from Themis to Independence to load roofing materials on Zickfields Jewelry from 9:00AM-10:00AM on Monday 3/17 and from 9:00AM-10:00AM on Wednesday 3/19. They will have a flagger at each intersection to direct traffic during those times.

Southeast Missouri State University announced the re-evacuation and closure of Magill Hall for a potential gas leak after further inspection Wednesday. Magill, Rhodes and Johnson halls were evacuated and closed because of a potential gas leak. Rhodes and Johnson halls have reopened but Magill remains closed for futher investigating.

CG Criminal Charge

The leader of a non-profit organization in Cape Girardeau Allison Miles faces a criminal charge after an alleged domestic assault.Miles is the founder and president of Street Level in Cape Girardeau, a group “dedicated to aiding, assisting, and advocating for people surviving homelessness,” according to its Facebook page.
