Governor Kehoe Appoints Local Circuit Judges

Governor Kehoe has appointed Julia Koester, of Cape Girardeau, as Circuit Judge in the 32nd Judicial Circuit. She previously worked for 13 years as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Cape Girardeau County. And there’s another appointment, Joseph Murray III, of Farmington, was appointed as Circuit Judge in the 24th Judicial Circuit.

The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to replace the Route OO bridge over the Whitewater River in Cape Girardeau County. Governor Kehoe has appointed Joseph “Bryon” Palmer, of Cape Girardeau to the Missouri Real Estate Appraisers Commission. Palmer is an active member of several organizations, including the Appraisal Institute and the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. Palmer earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Psychology from Southeast Missouri State University.

CG Non-Injury Fire

The Cape Girardeau Fire Department handled a first alarm fire Saturday night at 120 Camellia Drive. Crews were met by the owners, who confirmed that no one was in the home. The fire that apparently began on the stove was brought under control quickly and no one was hurt.
