CG Fight Arrest

Cape Girardeau Police responded to the 1000-Block of Bloomfield Street for property damage and use of a handgun by 33 year old Taniya Robinson of Sikeston who says she got into a fight with someone in her apartment. Robinson fied the gun and is now a resident of the Cape Girardeau jail.

CG Murder Case

Lawrence Schanda was found guilty of killing his neice on all three counts on Thursday at the Cape Girardeau Courthouse in Jackson.He’s scheduled to be sentenceed on February 10th.

Jackson School District Lawsuit

In court documents filed this week the Jackson R-II school district denied the allegations regarding a 7th-grade student and her mother in November 2024 saying the student created a threatening social media post and was suspended for 6 months.
