Christopher Collings Executed In MO

Christopher Collings, 49, was pronounced dead at 7:10 p.m. Eastern Time Tuesday night at the state prison in Bonne Terre, the Missouri Department of Corrections said in a statement. Collings died by lethal injection for the heinous killing of a nine year old gilr in 2007 that he confessed to.

CG Men Charged

Two men both age 25 have been charged in connection with a fight Monday night in Cape Girardeau. According to the Cape Girardeau Police Department, officers were called around 7:45 p.m. to the 2800 block of Whitener Street for a report of several people fighting. Formal charges are pending.

MO Thanksgiving Traffic Update

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports four people died in traffic crashes during this year’s Thanksgiving holiday counting period–between Wednesday, November 27 through Sunday, December 1. There were no boating crashes or drownings.There were approximately 362 crashes and 106 DWI arrests. No one died in a traffic crash on Thanksgiving Day in MO.

MO Highway Deadly Crash

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has cleared the scene of a deadly crash on Interstate 55 in Cape Girardeau that happened near the 114 mile marker Monday night. Sgt Clark Parrott says two people were trapped and one person was killed on the ice-slickened roadway.
