Poplar Bluff Man Arrested

A Poplar Bluff man was arrested by the Cape Girardeau Police Department for entering a doctor’s office with what initially appeared to be a weapon last Friday. Authorities say the man was experiencing mental issues.

Former CG Coroner Sentenced

Former Cape Girardeau County Coroner Wavis Jordan was sentenced to 12 years of probation in a hearing Wednesday, April 30, at the Cape Girardeau County Courthouse. He was also sentenced to pay a $250 fine according to an article in the Southeast Missourian.
