Recently, the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation into a conspiracy to commit Murder. During the investigation, it was discovered that Adam R. Kerr, who was incarcerated at the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office, had been discussing plans with others to have another person murdered in an effort to secure his release. Through more investigating it was determined that Kerr had offered financial compensation to a person to carry out the crime. Additionally, audio recordings proved Kerr outlined a detailed plan to have the individual killed. As a result of the investigation, the Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has filed numerous charges against Kerr.
