51 year old Jacqualine Straughn of Cape Girardeau is in police custody following a hotline call reporting on the safety and well-being of her 17 year old. Officers forced entry into the residence and observed a large amount of dog feces and urine that had been in the residence for an extended amount of time making it difficult to breathe. Officers made contact with the 17 year old who was laying on a bed with no sheets and naked under a blanket and hadn’t eaten in several days.
