Corporal Richard Couch has been named the Cape Girardeau Police Department’s 2025 Employee of the Year, an honor that underscores his dedication and service to both the Cape Girardeau Police Department and our community according to a news release. Corporal Couch has served the Cape Girardeau Police Department for 21 years, beginning his career in April 2002 as a Patrolman. After a brief break in 2003, he realized his true calling in law enforcement and rejoined the department in April 2005.
