A Cape Girardeau man faces up to 27 years in prison following his surprise guilty plea in connection with last year’s deadly shooting outside the CVS Pharmacy in Cape Girardeau.21-year-old Tre’Marion Jones pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder and second-degree assault.Jones admitted to committing the crime of unlawful use of a weapon back on February 27, 2024, when he fired the shots that killed 17-year-old KeMari Childress and injured another man.
