A 2024 survey on medicine disposal knowledge and practices revealed that 67% of participants discard medications in the garbage, demonstrating an urgent need to raise awareness of proper disposal practices. In the same survey, more than 80% expressed interest in better information and resources on how to properly dispose of household medicines.
