According to the Southeast Missourian a former city street maintenance worker has filed a lawsuit against the City of Cape Girardeau alleging both race and disability discrimination as well as workers’ compensation retaliation Feb. 28.According to a petition submitted by Joshua G. Miller of The Furniss Law Firm on behalf of the plaintiff, Corey Moore is a Black man who worked for the City of Cape Girardeau’s Street Maintenance Department.
