The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27 to discuss the Exit 93 interchange in Cape Girardeau. The meeting will be held at the Cape Girardeau Career & Technology Center, located at 1080 S. Silver Springs Rd., Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The Exit 93 interchange connects southbound Kingshighway traffic to Interstate 55 or Route 74 and the bridge in this location is referred to as a “flyover,” and it is in poor condition. The flyover was constructed in 1961 and currently carries more than 6,000 vehicles a day.
