Cape Girardeau Police reently responded to the 2800-Block of Whitener St. for a report of shots fired. When officers got to the scene they saw a vehicle leaving the parking lot in the 2800-Block of Whitener. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified Jamond Rush (31) of Perryville. Meanwhile, a narcotics trained K9 was deployed and an open air sniff was conducted on the vehicle. Rush was arrested.
