The stats are in from Missouri State Highway Patrol for the New Year’s Holiday driving period. The counting period began at 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 31 and lasted through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, January 4. During those dates, authorities say there were 187 traffic crashes across the state.Five people were killed and 87 were injured.Troopers also investigated 112 DUI incidents.
