A new Missouri law is now in effect offering relief to struggling local breweries through reduced state inspection fees and extended bar hours during the World Cup.House Bill 1041 cuts state inspection fees to 62 cents per barrel for American breweries, down from previous rates, while foreign alcohol imports remain at $1.86 per barrel. The law also allows bars to stay open from 6 a.m. until 5 a.m. the next day during World Cup matches, with local governments able to opt in or out.
