A Mississippi County judge sentenced a southeast Missouri man August Porter of Charleston to life in prison after being found guilty on 12 felony counts.Porter will serve two life sentences back-to-back, and consecutive to a prior Missouri Department of Corrections commitment, and another life sentence to run concurrently to those.Following a two-day trial in October, Porter was found guilty on charges, including first and second-degree statutory sodomy, third-degree child molestation, and endangering the welfare of a child.
