Sleep In Heavenly Peace

Masonic lodges in Sikeston joined businesses and nonprofits to build 35 beds for local children and launch a new Sleep in Heavenly Peace chapter serving southeast Missouri.According to the Southeast Missourian in 2012, Luke Mickelson of Twin Falls, Idaho, gathered volunteers in his garage with a straightforward goal: build beds for children in his community who were sleeping on the floor. The group constructed its first beds for local youth in need and created what became Sleep in Heavenly Peace, or SHP.
