Meanwhile an employee of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office has died. Former Deputy Lindell Eakins died on Friday at the age of 76. According to Scott County Sheriff Derick Wheetley, Eakins wore many hats during his long career, like working as a bailiff and a School Resource Officer at Thomas W. Kelly School in Benton.
