40 year old David McKnight of Cape Girardeau and also a former Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper pleaded guilty to federal charges against him on Tuesday. The Justice Department announced McKnight pleaded guilty to nine counts of deprivation of rights under color of law.
Prosecutors said McKnight admitted to searching women’s cell phones during traffic stops to find images, then using his phone to take pictures of those images.McKnight is scheduled to be sentenced on March 24, 2026.
