A Cape Girardeau man 44 year old Brandon Tipler was sentenced to 75 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on charges of rape and sodomy by Judge Frank Miller. Tipler was tried before a Cape Girardeau County jury on November 17-18 and found guilty of two counts of first-degree statutory rape and one count of first-degree statutory sodomy. According to a news release from Cape Girardeau County Prosecutor Mark Welker, Tipler was confronted by his two victims at the trial. They were both younger than 13 at the time of the crimes.
