The Advance Board of Aldermen approved a $13 increase in the city’s water base water rate to fund a new water treatment facility at its monthly meeting Monday, Dec. 15.According to a social media post made by Mayor Dan Seger on the City of Advance’s Facebook page, the increased water rates will pay off a $10 million bond, which was approved by the previous municipal administration, that will be utilized to build a new facility.
