Thomas Smith of Scott City was arrested by Scott County authorities for allegedly failing to comply with sex offender registry requirements. According to a news release, the Sheriff’s Office received information that Smith was residing in the city without registering as a sex offender. After further investigation, the sheriff’s office allegedly determined Smith had failed to comply with sex offender registry laws across other states he has lived in.
