A southeast Missouri man Robert Lee Grimes was found guilty in a child sodomy case following a two-day trial. The Stoddard County jury found Grimes guilty in two counts of first-degree sodomy – child less than 12 years of age.According to Prosecuting Attorney Sawyer Smith, the victim, her mother, a forensic interviewer from Southeast Missouri Network Against Sexual Violence, a deputy court clerk and two Stoddard County Sheriff’s detectives were called to testify.He’s scheduled to be sentenced on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
