According to the Southeast Missourian Scott County property tax statements are in the mail and should arrive earlier than in previous years.Scott County Collector Mark Hensley said statements are typically mailed around Veterans Day, which is Nov. 11, but this year they were placed in the mail by Nov. 1. The change comes as Hensley’s office implements the new senior tax credit and begins collecting property taxes for the City of Sikeston this year, he said.
