Jackson police arrested a man Monday for alleged possession of methamphetamine.According to the Southeast Missourian Zachary A. Payne, 31, of Jackson, is being held in Cape Girardeau County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond. According to a probable cause statement, an officer observed a silver Honda Civic slow down, then accelerate through a red light and continue on a roadway. A records check of the car allegedly identified the owner as Payne, who had a prior history involving the possession of a controlled substance.
