The city of Sikeston has announced plans for a public candlelight vigil to honor Officer Henry Franklin today at 7 p.m. outside the Sikeston Department of Public Safety building. If you’re wanting to attend gather around Officer Franklin’s police cruiser on display in front of the building at 201 S. Kingshighway. And you’re asked to bring a lawn chair and a candle or glow stick.Franklin was killed in an incident in Mississippi County on Monday.
