To enhance public safety and for ease of operation for the annual Southeast Missouri State University Homecoming Parade, City of Cape Girardeau officials and University leaders are collaborating on efforts to improve threat mitigation, emergency response capability, and overall event management along the Broadway corridor and adjacent downtown routes, and throughout downtown Cape Girardeau during SEMO’s Homecoming Weekend, today and Saturday. Most of Capaha Park will be off-limits during this time.
