The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to replace the Route OO bridge over the Whitewater River in Cape Girardeau County. The bridge is located four miles south of Burfordville between County Road 379 and County Road 365. The new bridge will be 26 feet wide, six feet wider than the existing structure.Work to replace the bridge could begin as early as summer 2026.Requests for a public meeting must be in writing and submitted to District Engineer Donnie Brown at 2675 North Main St., Sikeston, 63801, by today.
