Mercy Cancer Center will host a free, family-friendly community health event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 11, at 789 S. Mount Auburn Road in Cape Girardeau. The event will feature free health screenings, demonstrations and educational resources from Mercy providers. The Cape Girardeau Fire Department will be on-site with fire trucks, and an inflatable house. There will also be a photo booth, giveaways, face painting and appearances by Southeast Missouri State University’s Rowdy the Redhawk.
