Jones Is Sentenced For Murder

Tre’Marion Jones is beginning to serve his sentence of 27 years in prison handed down Tuesday at the Cape Girardeau County Courthouse for the murder of teenager KeMari Childress. Jones has a litany of murder charges on his record. According to prior Southeast Missourian reporting, Jones was the ex-boyfriend of Childress, and was arrested following her shooting death Feb. 27, 2024, near the CVS pharmacy at 2161 William St. in Cape Girardeau.
