A 25 year old Cape Girardeau man died in a crash Sunday after running off a roadway. According to the state Highway Patrol crash report, the driver was pronounced dead on the scene after driving off a roadway, striking a bridge pillar and a MoDOT sign. The report states the crash occurred on Missouri state Highway 177, “five miles north of Cape Girardeau”. The report says the unidentified was driving a 2015 Honda Civic and was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
