An investigation is taking place after the death of an inmate at the Potosi Correctional Center. Richard Allbritton, 65, was serving a life sentence for the rape of a 14-year-old girl in Cape Girardeau that happened in 1981.He was also in prison for burglary and a long list of other crimes in Bollinger County.The Missouri Department of Corrections says Allbritton died at the prison on Monday afternoon. No word on the cause of death and and an autopsy is scheduled.
