US Senator Eric Schmitt received the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) “Friend of Farm Bureau” award during an appearance at the Missouri State Fair on Wednesday. The award recognizes the success of individuals who have elevated the needs of farmers to the highest levels of government.“This award reflects Senator Schmitt’s tireless efforts on behalf of Missouri’s agriculture community,” Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) President Garrett Hawkins said. “From fighting regulatory overreach to engaging with commodity groups statewide, Senator Schmitt has proven himself a true friend of rural Missouri.”
