Recently Cape Girardeau Police Department officers responded to the Cape LaCroix Bike Trail near the 2100-Block of Brink Ave. for a report of an assault.Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the victim. The victim advised that she had just been assaulted by a male subject. The victim advised she was tackled to the ground by a man and she fought back area. The victim sustained minor abrasions from falling when the suspect attacked her. Other officers in the area quickly located the suspect identified as, Noa Wonnell (18) of Cape Girardeau. Wonnell was taken into custody and transported to the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
