On Monday the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance with a barricaded man at a home seven miles west of Doniphan. Arriving officers determined that the man was armed with a knife who moved toward a Ripley County Deputy and a Missouri State Trooper. Verbal commands were given to the man to drop the knife, but he didn’t listen. The armed man continued toward the deputy and both officers fired their weapons, striking him. Medical aid was provided; however, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.No officers were hurt
