As a new set of storms comes through Southeast MO a new storm shelter is now open for the community in Perry County in case of a weather emergency.Organizers say it all happened in just three days.“We had a mutual friend who reached out to Pastor Caleb in an email, and then we all came together to accomplish the goal of providing this shelter for people,” said organizer Keith Carroll.Perryville Methodist Church offered its basement as the official space for residents. It can hold up to 100 people and is also handicapped-accessible.
