The City of Cape Girardeau filed a partial motion to dismiss a plaintiff’s constitutional challenge in its employment discrimination case. Plaintiff Corey Moore, a Black man who worked for the City of Cape Girardeau’s Street Maintenance Department, filed an employee discrimination lawsuit against the city Feb. 28. The lawsuit alleges both race and disability discrimination as well as workers’ compensation retaliation in the three-count petition.
