Teresa Baumgartner pleaded guilty to two counts in a case involving the murder of Jessi Wilfong on Wednesday at the Cape Girardeau County Courthouse in Jackson. Lawrence Schanda was found guilty by a jury for the first-degree murder of his niece, Wilfong, on Jan. 9. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole Feb. 10 on one count of first-degree murder, one count of armed criminal action and one count of tampering with evidence according to the Southeast Missourian.
