The Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to a house fire at 1129 Lexington Ave. Dr. Saturday. Fire and heavy smoke were extinguished. The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen area and cause is currently under investigation by the Cape Girardeau Fire Department.No injuries were reported and damage is estimated at 70-thousand dollars.
