A Jackson man 37-year-old Joel Hahs faces charges after he allegedly punched a Mo. State Trooper in the throat on Highway 61 near Shawnee Blvd.According to court documents, Hahs appeared to be intoxicated, and the trooper asked him to get out of his car.Investigators say he refused. Hahs is accused of punching the trooper in the throat and reaching for the trooper’s firearm during the scuffle.Other law enforcement officers arrived at the scene to help and Hahs was taken into custody.
