CG Christmas Tree Farm

Missouri’s Christmas tree farms are getting into the holiday spirit. Teresa Meier (MY-er) of Meier Horse Shoe Pines in southeast Missouri’s Jackson has been providing the Cape Girardeau region with a unique holly jolly holiday experience since 1988.

“We have guides in the field that will cut your tree down. All you have to do is point it out and then we will load up the trees, give you a little part of the tag to bring down to the Christmas shop, and then in the meantime, they’ll bring the trees down, we shake them and clean them. We’ll drill them if you have the certain kind of stand with the pin in the middle that we sell here, and then we will put them through our netting.”

Her farm grows Scotch Pine, Norway Spruce, White Pine, and Loblolly (LOB-lolly) Pitch Pine, in addition to selling pre-cut Fraser Fir. Her farm also sells freshly made wreaths.
