Missouri’s Clean Energy Sector Added Over 2,700 jobs in 2023

Missouri’s clean energy and clean vehicle companies added over 2,700 jobs in 2023, a 5% increase from the previous year, according to the 2024 Clean Jobs Report for the Midwest by Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2). The report, compiled from the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, shows that Missouri employs around 59,000 workers in clean jobs, including 40,500 in energy efficiency, 9,360 in clean vehicles, and 6,247 in renewable energy. Missouri ranks 22nd in the U.S. for clean energy jobs.
