Cape Girardeau County’s coroner Wavis Jordan was back in court on Tuesday. During that hearing Jordan withdrew his motion for a change of venue, and requested a bench trial and requested a speedy trial.The judge granted his request.Jordan is charged with three felony counts of providing false information to vital records and one misdemeanor count of stealing.He’s pleaded not guilty to those charges.A trial date has not been set. Attorneys will file available dates and then a date will be scheduled.
